As Told by Talia

The Power of the V

Victim Volunteer Victorious

Talia describes her own transformation through three words. They represent three different relationships we can have with our story.

01

Victim

What happened to me.

There are chapters we never chose.

Trauma, abuse, loss, violence, grief, addiction, and painful circumstances can shape the way we see ourselves, other people, and the world around us.

Being victimized is not a choice.

02

Volunteer

What I continue participating in.

Unresolved pain can create patterns.

Sometimes the coping mechanisms that once helped us survive eventually become behaviors, relationships, beliefs, or cycles that keep us from moving forward.

“Volunteer” does not mean choosing trauma or abuse.

It represents the moment we recognize that although we could not control what happened, we can begin taking responsibility for how we respond, heal, and move forward.

03

Victorious

What I choose next.

Victory does not mean the story never happened.

It means the story no longer gets to control the ending.

Through healing, accountability, support, recovery, and intentional choices, a new chapter becomes possible.

You may not have chosen the chapter. But you can choose what happens next.

  • What happened to you is part of your story. It doesn't get to write the ending.
  • Your hardest chapter does not have to become your permanent identity.
  • Healing doesn't change what happened. It changes what happens next.
  • You can honor what you survived without living there forever.

Your story is already powerful. Now it’s time to decide what you’re going to do with it.

Whether you’re looking for a speaker who can move a room, a coach who can help you navigate what’s next, or a community where honest stories create real transformation—there is room for your story here.

Your next chapter is waiting.

Here’s to your next chapter,
